The Atlantic Creative Crew Conquers Their Fears

"Just push off with your feet and let go," that's what the instructor at Triangle Rock Club yells up at me while I'm about 20 feet off the ground only held in by a harness that I tied myself. Wondering at that moment if I made sure to loop back all of the straps properly so the harness would do it's job. I try to let go but I just can't bring myself to do it, so I, as the instructor calls it "cheese grater" all the way back down to the floor bumping a different body part every few feet down the wall.

It's "Atlantic Afternoon" a fairly new and exciting team building plan our office decided to implement. About every other month on a Friday we stop working at 3 and do a new activity. It was my turn to pick, so I chose indoor rock climbing.
One of my co-workers who took his turn on the wall next, let go at the top and slowly lowered himself, a few feet at a time, down to the floor safely. Then each of my other co-workers followed suit trying to follow the colored tape associated with the correct steps up the rock wall and then repelling down.  We even brought one of our cameras to capture the activity that most of us were trying for the first time.  See some of our video production crew here:

So let us know what fears you have conquered lately!
